The installation of a HRV unit is a relatively straight forward process once incorporated into the plans. We at Enoir Ventilation are qualified and certified to design and install HRV systems.
The is placed within the thermal envelope of the house (e.g. the utility room) or if space is restricted, it can be placed in a plant room or the attic area. From here ducting is placed all throughout the house with one vent being installed in the ceiling of each habitable room and wet room.
During the first fix we highly recommend that the HRV system be the first system installed after the roof is added to the build. For pictures of what this will look please see below.
The second fix for the system will take place after the kitchen and bathroom(s) have been fitted, the skirting boards and floors put down and the power has been turned on. At this point the system airflows and is balanced and the unit commissioned.
