Benefits of the HRV System

Having a ventilation system like a HRV (Heart Recovery Ventilation) system installed in your home offers a wide range of benefits not just for your wallet but your overall health, air quality and the comfort of your home.

HRV systems ensure that there is a continuous supply of fresh clean air circulating all throughout your home. According to the EPA 50% of all illnesses are caused by, or aggravated by poor indoor air quality and given that the average person spends 70% of the time indoors it is vital that a proper ventilation system is in place. Our HRV units are fitted with the new EU standard filters (we can upgrade to pollen filters upon request) which will help reduce the amount of dust and pollen in your home as well as removing radon from the air ensuring safe and clean air being supplied all throughout your home.

On top of this, a HRV unit is capable of removing the hot, wet air from areas such as your kitchen, bathrooms and utility room and eliminating water vapour as it is produced. As a direct result of this process there is no moisture in the air to cause condensation in your home which is the leading cause of damp, rot and mold taking root in your home.

The HRV system is incredibly efficient when it comes to energy consumption and it will reduce the energy requirements to heat your home which will in turn save you money. The system works by taking the hot, stale air and using it to heat the incoming fresh air. Our HRV units are designed to run on a continuous low rate to minimise the energy used to run the systems DC fans and the heat energy recovered is up to twenty times more than that of the initial electricity to run the system in the first place which will lower your reliance on fossil fuels and reduce your electricity and heating bills.
